| One Week Old | One Month Old | Two Months Old |
| I sleep. I eat. And when I'm awake I really like my swing! | Despite my noisy brothers, I sleep. Mommy says I am a real good baby. I sleep, eat, and wake at the right times. I'm an easy going baby, and my smile makes my family go wild! | I'm growing bigger each day. I have begun to sleep through the night (8-10 hours). And, just a couple days ago I giggled! I can't hold toys yet, but I do get happy when my brothers hold them over my head for me to look at. |

| Three Months Old | Four Months Old | Five Months Old |
| I laugh, I giggle and giggle some more. I don't like a pacifier, my fingers are easier to find. During tonight's photo shoot I rolled over twice, and I've just begun to grab for toys. Mom says that I often have that "deer in the headlight expression." | I have a very engaging personality and I love for people to talk to me. I always reply with smiles and giggles. Have discovered my thumb is just as good as my fingers, and I pass the time grabbing my feet. Mom's finally got me on a schedule, I eat five times a day, take two naps, and always sleep through the night. | I turned 5 months old in Illinois. I am really grabbing at stuff now. And rolling from tummy to back is quite easy. I drool continually. I now have two bottom teeth. I smile the majority of the day -- and seem to enjoy the noisiness of my family. When Mom is busy, I willingly drink formula in a bottle. (happens only once or twice a week). |

| Six Months Old | Seven Months Old | Eight Months Old |
| I've a third tooth on the bottom and two coming through on top. I screech when I'm happy. I can roll with ease...which allows me to reach my brothers trains. I'm not very fast, but I can get there! I eat about 4 jars of baby food a day, any kind. I can sit for long periods of time, but once I fall over I'm stuck on the floor. If you hold me I'll pat your back or grab your neck (sort of like a hug, but it might hurt!) | I have seven teeth, and if given the opportunity may bite a shoulder or neck. I can really roll! I use it is a form of transportation. I love to eat -- melted cheese sandwiches, pancakes, waffles, hamburger, steamed cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots, bananas, kiwi, oranges, and more. The only thing I refuse to eat is baby food! I play for long periods alone. And I am always happy! | I'm eating more solids. I've begun to wave. I notice what my brothers are playing with and would really like to join in their play. My new favorite activity is opening drawers and cupboard doors. Had an ear infection this month. Really didn't bother me to much. |

| Nine Months Old | Ten Months Old | Eleven Months Old |
| I love to stand. I enjoy holding a toy and banging it on tables, walls, or even the floor. I've begun to climb out of things, like shopping carts and high chairs! I am very "engaging" and love to talk to people. If you want to keep me busy, give me a basket or drawer to empty. Still have that ear infection! | I've begun to cruise! And, I really want to do as the big boys do. I want to use silverware. I want to empty the dishwasher. I want to drink from a cup. I'm quite attentive and if I hear the front door open I'll come crawling. I have a growing vocabulary: more, daddy, mommy, and all done (which means I need more). The ear cleared up, but then was infected twice more. | I'm trying to learn to walk. But, every time I take a step or two I simply fall. I can stand in the middle of the room. When I do, I often clap for myself. I enjoy playing with stacker cups, pointing and pictures in books, and climbing. I climb chairs, the dishwasher, and the bunk bed ladder. Mom bought a gate to keep me out of the boys room. I stand at it and grunt and moan. Oh, the ears still hurt. |

Favorite Activities (no particular order) Talking with people, turning off lights, eating, riding the tricycle, being pulled in the wagon, getting higher (I climb everything), swinging, stacking cups, hugging and kissing, communicating (I get very excited when I understand what is being said - go get your shoes, bye-bye, etc), going outside, playing in sand box, doing whatever my brothers are doing. |

Favorite Foods: (no particular order) Yogurt, ice-cream, cheese sandwiches, string cheese, raisins, cream of wheat, bananas, broccoli, carrots, green beans, rice, baked beans, sausage, hamburger, chicken,.. Kix, fruit of any kind.

| Twelve Months Old | ||
| On March 4th I had tubes put in my ear. The draining (mom supposes) makes my ear feel funny. I'm stepping well. That's mom's term for walking 4-8 steps at a time. I like to use my hands when I walk, A bear crawl, sort of a half walk, half crawl. I am strong, and determined to reach for what I want. I cry when I'm told no. I love to turn off light switches. I continue to chatter all day long. Most people think I'm pretty loud. I've a big smile and readily share it. |
